I currently work at the ISN Oldenburg on interoperability issues for digital libraries including the Open Archive Initiative.

I also design and implement a workflow system for GAP, developing an innovative model for the dynamic design and administration of electronic publications. This is applicable to both articles published in electronic journals and books published in the traditional way.

I used to work on finite systems consisting of magnetic nanoparticles. We have been investigating structural phase transitions by Monte Carlo Simulations. The system below exhibits a phase transitions between two ordered states namely a ring and chain structure. Although the energies are almost equal, the magnetic moment is very different for both structures.
